William K. Thomson, DDS

Dr. William King Thomson graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch in 1968.  He served in the Navy for two years in 29 Palms California while on a Dental Internship rotation.  During this time, he was trained in general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics.

Early in his career, he attended the Pankey Institute.  The Pankey Institute is the most highly acclaimed dental continuing education facility in the world.  Concepts taught are principles of conservative comprehensive dentistry.  Dr. Thomson has followed these principles, always putting the patient's needs first and providing these needs at the appropriate times.  He has hundreds of continuing education hours and is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. 

Dr. Thomson has his masterships from the American Academy of Implant Prothodonics and the American Academy of Laser Dentistry.  He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists and a fellow in the International College of Dentists.

His practice is centered on compassionate care for those he treats.  The phases of dentistry he addresses are cosmetic, implant, prosthodontics, and family dentistry.

He has a wonderful caring staff with longevity up to 31 years who share his care centered focus for those he treats.


M. Tait Palmer, DDS

Dr. Palmer was raised in Levelland, Texas, a small town 30 miles west of Lubbock.  He then moved to central Texas to attend Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in Biomedical Science.  After a brief stint in the business world, as a consultant in Dallas, Dr. Palmer moved to San Antonio to begin his dental career.  After graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School at San Antonio in 2003, he moved to Austin.  Dr. Palmer joined Dr. Thomson in 2004.

Dr. Palmer strives to provide compassionate care centered on the patient.  He provides comprehensive dentistry across all age groups, including children.  Dr. Palmer's focus is on helping people keep their teeth for a lifetime.  Optimum dental care is a priority in our practice.

Dr. Palmer is a member of the Capital Area Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Pankey Alumini Association.  He has completed the rigorous Comprehensive Dentistry Continuum at the Pankey Institute in Florida, and he is a member of a Pankey Affiliated Study Club in Houston where he meets twice a year with comprehensive dentists from across the United States.  Dr. Palmer attends multiple hours of continuing education a year which include courses on the cutting edge of dental care. 

Dr. Palmer is married to Alyssa and they enjoy spending time with their sons, Grayson and Hayes, and their daughter, Elia.
